Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker Trailer

____________________________________________________________________

So there we go, that's your lot.

Looking forward to taking a peak at the new MGS trailer....

The "Call of Juarez" demo is the update I've been most anticipating though- yet another demo to add to my list....

And for anyone interested, I've been playing loads of demos lately, with plenty more to get through. I'll write an update soon- another list of recommended downloads, with possibly a list of downloads you should avoid (and there are plenty!)

So if anyone has any recommendations for me, feel free to send me a message, Email, comment or Twitter.

Ex-MTV Boss Targets Games TV (Update)

I just found the following over at MCVUK, sounds very interesting but i have never seen it advertised on TV.

**********Update**********
I've just had a look on the bravo website and found that GameFace and Ginx Files are on today (Sunday 9th of August 2009) see pic below.

**********End Of Update**********

Peter Einstein launches new games-focused show Game Face on Bravo

The former president of MTV Europe is looking to turn his company into a games equivalent of the music channel – as it launches a games-focused new show.

Game Face kicked off on Bravo last weekend. The show was created by Ginx TV, which was founded by former MTV boss Peter Einstein.

Game Face includes reviews and is presented by Julia Hardy. The show is broadcast in various prime time slots on Bravo’s channels, and followed international weekly review show The Ginx Files.

“I believe that the viewing figures for Game Face will build over time as gamers find the show and look forward to connecting with us each week to enjoy what’s going on in their gaming world,” Einstein told MCV.

As well as working with partners such as Bravo, Ginx TV describes itself as being ‘the first international 24/7 TV channel that turns video gaming into mainstream entertainment TV’.

Added Einstein: “There could be multiple reasons that games TV shows have failed in the past – which could even be linked to management, cost overruns, not just necessarily the channel format.

“From what we’ve seen in the past a lot of the focus has been more outside of the games, with presenter reviews, stats, interviews with creators and only a bit about the games themselves – as one assumed that you only ‘play’ games you can’t ‘watch’ them.

“By taking the rich production values of many games today, using the story line or game objective, Ginx creates a TV production from a TV viewers point of view. We feel this concept provides a fun, entertaining TV event which is appealing mostly to the casual gamer.”

Sony Step Up PSP And PS3 UK Advertising

Sony seems to be stepping up their game when it comes to advertising, at least here in the UK you will have to let me know if the following adverts are shown in your country. Over the last couple of weeks i have seen the following adverts here in the UK and not just once or twice either i have seen them at least ten times. Hopefully Sony can keep this momentum going for the rest of the year. Will we be seeing adverts for the PS3 Slim anytime soon?

The Lotus Eater on Sony PSP game Saints Row

So it appears Saints Row is to be released on the psp at some point, the news was broke on this site

We may not like playing video games all that much but we do like it when our music is featured on them! Makes us a bit proud even when it's a game as big as Saints Row for the PSP and even prouder when the nice developer people show excellent taste by picking "The Lotus Eater" for it. So if you love playing video games: the game is expected to hit the streets around March 2010.

Gran Turismo PSP Questions Answered

Hello there Gran Turismo fans. I’m Penrose Tackie Gran Turismo European Brand Manager. Our friends in the US have recently followed up a Kazunori-san interview with a quick heads-up about the forthcoming GT-PSP release, so if you’re salivating waiting on new information on the groundbreaking appearance of Gran Turismo on the PSP read on…

Last week we gave you 3 and a half minutes with Polyphony Digital’s Kazunori Yamauchi on Gran Turismo PSP. That’s not enough, you said! So as promised, we fired off your questions to the game’s US Producers, Chris Hinojosa Miranda and Taku Imasaki, and below are their responses.
Also, we know you have a lot of questions about Gran Turismo 5, and we’ll be calling for those soon. But for now, we’re just focused on GT PSP.

Check out the full post over at the EU PlayStation Blog

ModNation Racer Coming To PSP?

Gamefly as listed ModNation Racer for the PSP as well as the PS3 for a tentative release date of February 28 2010. This could simply be a mistake when being listed by Gamefly or may be true seeing how we are about to see the release of LittleBigPlanet on the psp having been very successful on the PS3, maybe Sony already know ModNation Racer is going to be a big success and is aiming to bring it to both the PS3 and PSP at the same time.

Comic download service hitting PSP by end of year in Japan

Remember when we discovered an early prototype of a downloadable comics service for PSP? Well, looks like it's coming to fruition. According to a release by PlayStation Japan, comics will be made available through the PlayStation Store by year's end. The comics will take advantage of the high resolution screen offered by the PSP, and will be compatible with all versions of the PSP, from the original 1000 to the new PSP Go.

SCEA and SCEE have not announced plans to follow Japan's footsteps. However, we're hopeful that by year's end, PSP owners will be able to read both English and Japanese comics on the go
