DCUO - War of the Light Part II, GU 42 On PC Test Server

War of the Light Part II DLC

War of the Light Part II is now available on the PC Test server. The fate of the entire Emotional Spectrum hangs in the balance of an uneasy alliance between Green Lantern Hal Jordan and Sinestro. Feeling love is endangered by this relentless war, Carol Ferris and the Star Sapphires have come to Earth to restore their own entity and to stop the strife…and all who get in their way.

Look for “Warriors of Light II” in your Mission Journal and head to Mogo’s Command Center (Heroes) or Ranx’s Command Center (Villains) from your HQ to begin your adventures in War of the Light Part II.

New Solo Content!
New solo content is available in the open world in the Downtown Metropolis Battlezone and in a new solo Challenge, Spark of Parallax!

New Daily Solo Missions
o Heroes and Villains can both rejoin the war in Metropolis between the Lantern corps with daily solo missions. Complete 10 Daily Solo Missions to gain entry to a special solo instance!
o Combat Rating: 106

Spark of Parallax Solo Challenge
o The Spark of Parallax must make it to the Central Power Battery on Qward! Heroes and Villains must work with Hal Jordan and Sinestro to ensure that the entity of fear is restored, and the Emotional Spectrum is on its way to recovery.
o Open your On Duty Menu and look for the new Challenge under Tier 6 of the 1 Player Tab.
o Combat Rating: 106

New Two Player Content!
Players receive a new Duo – Spark of Ion!

Spark of Ion Duo
o The Spark of Ion must make it to the Central Power Battery on Oa before it’s too late. Help Hal Jordan and Sinestro make sure the essence of the entity arrives safely!
o Open your On Duty Menu and look for the new Duo under Tier 6 of the 2 Player Tab.
o Combat Rating: 106

New Four Player Content!
Players receive a new 4-player Operation and Alert!




Zamaron Conversion Chamber (4-Player Alert)
o The Star Sapphires are abducting female members of the various Lantern Corps in order to force them to join their ranks. Track the missing Lanterns’ ring signatures and head to Zamaron for a rescue mission.
o Open your On Duty Menu and look for the new Alert under Tier 6 of the 4 Player Tab.
o Combat Rating: 106

Avarice Impurity (4-Player Operation, Hero Only)
o Hal Jordan traveled to Mogo in response to a distress signal, but there has been no word from him since he left! Get to Mogo and investigate.
o Open your On Duty Menu and look for the new Operation under Tier 6 of the 4 Player Tab.
o Combat Rating: 106

Rage Impurity (4-Player Operation, Villain Only)
o Sinestro traveled to Ranx in response to a distress signal, but there has been no word from him since he left! Get to Ranx and investigate.
o Open your On Duty Menu and look for the new Operation under Tier 6 of the 4 Player Tab.

New Eight Player Content!
Players receive a new 8-player player Operation.

Love and War (8-Player Operation)
o Sinestro and Hal Jordan must get Carol Ferris to join their alliance. However, the Star Sapphires have hidden the location of Zamaron and aren’t welcoming any visitors. Fortunately, Sinestro and Hal have a plan.
o Open your On Duty Menu and look for the new Operation under Tier 6 of the 8 Player Tab.
o Combat Rating: 107

New PvE Gear!
Players receive new suit sets and styles inspired by different Lantern Corps and the Manhunters, and new Mist-Enhanced weapons. All War of the Light Part II gear drops are un-attuned.

• Heroes receive the Shepherd of Adara style inspired by Saint Walker of the Blue Lantern Corps.
• Villains receive the Avatar of Ophidian style inspired by the Orange Lantern Corps.
• All male characters receive the Sector 3601 style inspired by the Manhunters
• All female characters receive the Heart of the Predator style, inspired by Star Sapphires.

New Base Items!
Collect new base items by participating in War of the Light Part II content, some of which are inspired by Lantern Corps.

New Collections & Feats!
Earn new Collections and Feats awarding a total of six skill points by completing War of the Light Part II content. Collections award new styles and base items inspired by War of the Light Part II content.

New Character Select Background!
Players can now select Zamaron as their Character Select Background.


Skimming!
Dash across the skies and deal punishment from above by unlocking the Aerial Movement Mode Variant: Skimming!
• How It Works:
o A Respec Token: Movement Mode is required in order to change an existing character’s Movement Mode to Skimming. Once Skimming has been unlocked, all existing characters on your account are able to respec to this Movement Mode Variant as long as a Respec Token: Movement Mode is used.
o With Skimming unlocked any new characters created on your account will have access to this Movement Mode Variant in Character Create
o Unlocking Skimming does not modify any of your existing characters’ current Movement type
o Skimming shares all feats, races, and trait functionality with other Aerial Movement Mode Variants (e.g. Flight).
• For PC Test Only:
o Players on PC Test can acquire a Respec Token: Movement Mode from the Test Server Testing Helpers items located on the Supply Vendor in the Watchtower, for Heroes, or the Hall of Doom, for Villains. Players can also create new characters with Skimming as the Movement choice.


Survival Mode
• Added a few new base item rewards to the Survival Mode treasure lists!

Fortress of Solitude: Power Core
• Penetrating Strikes will no longer do unintended excessive damage when Corrupt Jor-El A.I. is in his larger forms.

General
• Lightning Strikes bounties should stop flying too high.

Powers
Quantum
• Time Bubble will once again not be removed by any number of hits. It will be removed by absorbing more damage than your Restoration + Dominance + 10 or when the duration has ended.

Gadgets
• EMP Pulse is now properly vulnerable to interrupt.

PvP Season 3
• Removing Home Turf Mod Sockets from remaining Neck and Weapon item rewards from Season 2 of PvP.

Operation
Mist Recovery
• The random misted boss in New S.T.A.R Labs can no longer be attacked during the opening camera


War of the Ligtht Part II

General
• Fixed a bug where certain Green Lanterns and Sinestro Corpsmen were being referred to as "Misted" instead of "Impassioned"
• Fixed some base items so they will now show the proper colors in decoration mode, including newer survival mode assets.

Spark of Parallax
• The description in the On Duty menu now correctly lists the size as 1 player.
• Bosses in combat with the player will now reset when the player gets KO'ed instead of when the player respawns.
• Vice will no longer T-Pose when using his Plasma Field ability.

Love and War
• The "radar dishes" will now consistently appear in the cinematic that occurs in the middle of this operation.
• The door at the top of the ramp outside the Wonder Woman/Carol Ferris fight area will now always open upon reset. Also, the final fight should no longer reset if everyone leaves the area after Carol is defeated.
• Star Sapphire Outpost: Zatanna will no longer begin fighting nearby unsuspecting players before her introduction cinematic finishes. She will now wait a moment after the cinematic concludes to begin battle.
• The beam that fires between the Predator and each Predator's Focus will now always appear.
• Fixed an issue where the Mist Collection could get caught in a loop and spawn multiple barrels and NPC's.

Duo
Spark of Ion
• The treasure chest obtained for completing the "Cold Hands, Warm Heart" achievement in the Spark of Ion duo has been fixed and will now contain rewards
• Added a repair terminal.
• Fixed an issue that blocked Orange Lanters from appearing in the final room if the person without the Spark entered the room first.
• Resolved issue with loot lockouts, they should now function correctly.
• Fixed an issue with the Captain Cold subboss dropping the incorrect loot.
• Getting KO’ed by the Red Lantern reinforcements will no longer despawn the reinforcements.

Exterior Missions
• Updated Star Sapphire Protectors to more often hold agro properly.
• Heroes should no longer see a mission icon above the villain Terror Agent Amb'rr and villains should no longer see a mission icon above the hero Lantern Officer Elza.

Orange You on Our Side
• The LexCorp Stealth Specialist's initial attack speed has been fixed so he doesn't fire a lot of attacks in short succession.

Crystalline Catalysts
• Adjusted the number of NPCs to free from the Star Sapphire Crystals.
• Star Sapphire Conqueror now shows an objective icon when you are on the appropriate quest stage.
• Crystallography: Star Sapphire Architect now shows an objective icon when you are on the appropriate quest stage.
• When releasing NPCs from the Star Sapphire Crystals they are more likely to be what you are looking for.

Star Sapphire Embargo
• Star Sapphire Facilitator now shows an objective icon when you are on the appropriate quest stage.
• Fixed an issue where it was possible for players to finish the Doctor Light/Superman Bounty Mission early.

Doctor Light
• Doctor Light's spin attack damage has been adjusted.

Avaricious and Vicious
• Turrets will no longer flop around like a fish out of water.

Violet Ultraviolence
• When releasing NPCs from the Star Sapphire Crystals they are more likely to be what you are looking for.

Rage Against
• The barrels hero players need to confiscate should have a higher chance of enemies nearby, particularly in the bottom corner of the designated area.



Alert
Zamaron Conversion Chamber
• Fixed an issue that was causing some of the turrets in the second boss fight room not to fire.
• Final boss fight no longer has a reset error causing the door to stay up incorrectly.
• Fixed an issue where the treasure locks were not displaying correctly in the On Duty menu.

4-Player Operation
Avarice Impurity
• Avaricious Lex Luthor should spend less time high in the air.
• I Removed a stalactite from the cove East of Mogo's Main Core. This was preventing NPCs from moving through that area.

Collections
• "Gold" Collections should no longer be found in areas of Crimson Mist where players cannot collect them.

PC Test Vendors
• PC TEST ONLY: The Symbol of Light II has been added to the Test Server PvE Currency Box.
• PC TEST ONLY: Updated the Respec Token to be called "Respec Token: Movement Type" instead of Movement Mode.

Base
• Fixed a Main Frame Orbital Drop Display issue.

Home Turf
• Black Dawn: The transport orbs' snare effect has been reduced.

Skimming
• Fixed a bug with the Skimming icons in the Skills tree. This was causing confusion with Cyclonic Burst, Typhoon, and Gale. The icons now match their counterparts in the tree correctly.
• Fixed an issue where your Skimming discs would flicker between the old and new color for a couple of seconds when you changed your primary color.

War of the Light Part II
PC TEST ONLY

Alert
Zamaron: Conversion Chamber
• Turrets no longer remain active once the second boss has been defeated.
• The Enter Encounter teleporter for the final fight will no longer activate until the door has closed.
• Impassioned Harley Quinn and Impassioned Catwoman have an added ability to deal with flying enemies and large crowds.

8 – Player Operation
Love and War (Hero and Villain)
• The players are now told to interrogate a Star Sapphire Sentinel instead of a Star Sapphire Wayfarer.
• Allowing a Star Sapphire Rejuvenator or Revitalizer to rally allies in certain areas will no longer block progress.

Downtown Metropolis Battlezone
Orange You on Our Side?
• Green Lanterns around LexCorp Tower should now all speak with their proper voices.
• Made some visual changes to the Citrine Mist trail so that they should always be visible.
• Fixed an issue where over time the Greedy Green Lanterns and Greedy Sinestro Corpsmen could become increasingly difficult to find.
• Increased the time limit to scan the Greedy Green Lanterns or Greedy Sinestro Corpsmen.
• Improved bulletin messaging to better explain what the mission objectives are (ie. follow the citrine mist trail after defeating the Greedy Green Lantern or Greedy Sinestro Corpsman)
• The Citrine Mist trail doesn't bolt off as fast, giving players a little more time to find it before needing to follow it.

Star Sapphire Embargo
• When interrogating the Facilitator she is now more likely to talk.
• The number of Star Sapphires defending the teleporters has been adjusted.

Bounty/Wanted
• BOUNTY: Superman and WANTED: Doctor Light will now require replay badges to reset them.

Crystalline Catalysts
• Fixed an issue where subdued NPCs could be encased preventing players from securing them.

Avaricious and Vicious
• Thinned out the amount of Orange Lanterns that were battling around the turrets that players need to repair.

Duo
Spark of Ion
• Orange Lanterns assisting Avaricious Cheetah deal normal damage now.

Spark of Parallax
• Fixed an issue where the door to the battery chamber would close if a player left and re-entered the room after completing the instance.
• Parallax should no longer be visible before he's reconstituted by Sinestro.

Player Rewards
• The vendor-purchased Item Level 97 gear is no longer able to be sold.
• Adjusted the cash cost on the vendor items for War of the Light Part II to be at or under 2000 cash.

Mist Connections (Gold Collection)
• The "Penguin's Monocle" is renamed "Penguin's Bow Tie."



Survival Trigon's Prison
• Updated Superboys Super-Breath attack to not pulse.

Group & Raid Boss Abilities
• Reduced the health of level 104 and higher group and raid bosses.

Loading Screen Tips
• Fixed a typo in the "Deserting a group" loading screen tip.

Duos
Supply Lines
• Fixed an issue where players could have the final fight on the docks reset on them shortly after they started the fight.

Arenas
Safehouse Rescue
• Hostage Negotiator feat will update whenever a non-combat npc is rescued regardless of who frees them. Feat contribution will be shared with the entire team of the associated faction.

Powers
PVP Season 3
• Prefab Tier 6 Expert Mods have been added to PvP Vendors.
• Synthetic Tier 6 Mods have been added to the vendors in Mogo and Ranx.


Game Update 42

Progress Points
By popular demand, we’ve just finished a new feature called “Progress Points”!

Progress Points are a new system for tracking what a player has completed. The first use of this system is coming in Game Update 42 and will be used in Survival: Trigon’s Prison. Behind the scenes, a progress point will be saved on your character for every round you complete. When your group wipes, or you requeue for Survival: Trigon’s Prison, and interact with the pedestal, you will get a choice of which round your group wants to start at. Currently, the options are Round 3, Round 5, Round 7, and Round 9. Everyone in your group must have completed the desired round in order to skip to it. The selection UI will display which group members have access to which rounds. Once a player selects a progress point (round), a vote is sent to the rest of the group. If the vote passes, the event is skipped to the round selected. If the vote fails, you must start a new vote by interacting with the pedestal again.

Please note, once a vote has started, no one can join the instance or interact with the pedestal.

Skimming
• Gale
• Removed power restoration text from Gale's ability description.
• Low Pressure
• Updated the Power Interaction ability text for Low Pressure to say 'Cyclonic Burst' instead of High Pressure.

User Interface
• Updated the Queue pop audio replacing a sound that was added in error.



War of the Light Part II

Downtown Metropolis Battlezone
Bounties/Wanted
• The Superman Bounty Quest Giver will now play his VO properly.
Crystallography
• The Star Sapphire Constructor count requirement has been relaxed from 9 to 6.
Crimson Fog of War
• Fixed the description of Cryo-foam ability so that it no longer refers to non-existant power interactions.

Alert
Zamaron: Conversion Chamber
• The skylight room now has turrets that discourage flying too high.

8-Player Operation
Love and War (Hero and Villain)
• Carol Ferris will no longer be visible before her introduction cinematic begins.
• The Central Battery door will now remain closed between the Wonder Woman and Carol Ferris fights on Zamaron. However, an "Enter Encounter" teleporter will appear outside the room after Wonder Woman is defeated to allow players entry. This teleporter will disappear a few seconds after Carol Ferris appears.
• Collision has been removed on the final Zamaron chime.
• Carol Ferris will consistently receive a new group of allies whenever the previous group is defeated.
• Hal Jordan and Sinestro will no longer talk over each other during the final cinematic.

Challenge Mode: Tier 6
Spark of Parallax
• It's no longer possible to get into a state where a player could free the Red Lantern bosses without reviving Sinestro.

Collections
• Fixed handholds on rock hiding a collection on Qward.


PC Test Public Notes

PvP
S.T.A.R. Labs has gathered all of the Anti-Nth Metal Meteorites they could find in Metropolis and Gotham and are conducting additional research on the mysterious rocks.
Duo
Tunnel of Lust
There are no more floating cogs in the hallways of the Tunnel of Lust.
Generator - Hero
Steelworks Teleport destination has been moved to a safer location.
PC Test Vendor
The Test Server Helpers Box now gives the player a Radar Enhancer to make testing collections easier.
Survival: Trigon's Prison
Updated Progress Points to be granted at the start of a round, rather than the finish. This means to get Rounds 3, 5, 7, and 9, you just need to complete the previous round.
Game Update 42

Skimming
Fixed a bug with Skimming animation blending that didn't work with the vSync video option turned off.
Tuned the Flight and Skimming banking animation to look consistent when turning.
Skimming will now display correctly in the Guild Roster UI.
Adjusted volume on Skimming Turns.
Added sound for Low Pressure Skimming Ability.
War of the Light Part II

8-Player Operation
Love and War
Fixed an issue where Hal and Sinestro's constructs would not appear during the cinematic.
Access to the briefing in the final boss fight area will now display when it has been unlocked.
Star Sapphire Vanquisher, Vanguard, Vexer and Vindicators are less prone to attack the person controlling them now.
4-Player Operation
Avarice Impurity
Avaricious Lex Luthor has been moved further away from the doorway.
Challenge Mode
Spark of Parallax
Fixed an issue where Parallax would appear to be partially stuck in the geometry.
Feats
Teleport of Entry feat
The required teleporter count will reset if the group fails to defeat Impassioned Zatanna.
Best Foe Forever feat
Players will get credit for this feat only by not defeating any Vanquisher, Vindicator, Vanguard, or Vexer in the final fight with Carol Ferris.
