GDC 2009 Poll Results

I conducted a poll to find out what people would like to hear more about at GDC 2009 next month (August 18th) at Sony's press conference. See picture above for result's.

I would like to hear about the PS3 Slim at GDC 2009 mostly because it will put the rumours to rest, but i voted for Backward's Compatibility On all PS3's the reason for this was due to the fact this should have been left in from the launch PS3's and never taken away from the newer version's, this would help bring PS2 owner's over to the PS3 who are the fence about buying one.

I will be adding a new poll at some point this evening, which will consist of which game will be the biggest this Christmas on the PS3. Thanks to everyone who voted

Littlebigplanet Merchandise Coming Soon

We are finally about to see the release of LittleBigPlanet merchandise here in the UK, which will be produced by Impact International and GB Eye Limited. Products will start to roll out around October time and will no doubt be on every kids Christmas list(and maybe a few dads to).

Impact will produce plush and accessories based on LittleBigPlanet in the UK, Eire and the Middle East. The deal will see the toy company produce a range of plush items, bean toys, mugs, bobbleheads and bags, all featuring LittleBigPlanet’s iconic character Sackboy.

In addition, poster company GB Eye Limited will develop a range of posters, 3D posters, postcard packs, badges and stickers for LittleBigPlanet, God of War, InFamous, MotorStorm, WipeOut, Killzone and Resistance. The deal covers the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, France and Italy.

PS3 Firmware 3.00 Discovered?

JabbaB from the US PlayStation forum has posted a thread titled "Did I see Firmware 3.0 today"? and wrote that he in had been in a local Sony Style store, while inside he saw a PS3 that contained firmware 3.00. In order to prove it was true he then went back to the store to get video evidence, which was then discovered and told to remove the video from his phone, then went back again and got a picture of the screen showing the firmware running on a store PS3. The picture is not the best quality ever but does show the 3.00 firmware update, many have replied that it could be fake but my opinion is that if it were indeed fake wouldn't he of done it on a better picture showing all the info? also a number of people have said the 3 looks different from the other numbers but i have had a good look at the picture and have not found any alterations that i can see. Could this include the cross game chat everyone wants?

Check out the thread for yourselves and make your own judgement on if it is real or not but think about this for a minute it has been said there will be more firmware updates before the year is out.
