PS3 Slim Coming August According To 1UP

David Ellis, from American multi-format site 1UP said on their latest podcast that the PS3 Slim is “gonna be in August” following that with “everything I’ve heard says it’s coming in August, it’s tied with Madden.” Madden, eh? Well, not over here, we’ve no idea who Madden is apart from seeing him on the box of an old Megadrive game, but if Sony are planning on running the PS3 Slim in a bundle we’ll probably not see that sort of deal on these shores for a little while yet.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Set In WW2?

Thereis still no word on who got the 43millionth kill on the PS3 version of Battlefield 1943 but having just looked on the official Twitter page i came across the following Twit

"Think you're a Bad Ass with BF1943 weapons? What if I said you'll be able to use your Semi-Auto Rifle, Sniper Rifle, or SMG in BFBC2!"

Sounds intresting does this mean Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be set in World War two? Battlefield: Bad Company was based on a fictional war in the near-future, i guess we will have to wait and hope we hear more details soon.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is planned for early 2010

Alien Breed Evolution Coming To XBLA First Then PS3 And PC

While Team 17's upcoming Alien Breed renewal, Alien Breed Evolution, will be coming to XBLA, PSN and PC, VG247 has learned that the game will be arriving on XBLA a bit earlier than the other two. Team 17 boss Martyn Brown said the following.

“I think XBLA still leads PS3 in terms of user base and probably the amount of people buying the thing,” he told us when we asked why Team 17 chose 360 as the lead platform for release.

“Plus we have a relationship with Microsoft that’s pretty close - a first party publishing relationship,” he said.

“They showed a lot of faith in us early doors and that’s kind of kept going really. I think they’ve got the same kind of games on there: it’s the same kind of audience really.

“I’m not suggesting the PS3 is any less than that, but we just feel that’s the market for the game.

“It will come to PS3 and it will come to PC as well, but intially it’ll be Live Arcade,” concluded Brown.

Joker Makes PS3 Home

At a special preview event taking place yesterday Rocksteady's Sefton Hill confirmed that The Joker will only be playable on the PS3 version and said that due to a exclusivity deal with Sony he will not be playable on the Xbox 360 at anytime in the future.

He did have some good news for 360 fans though, confirming that the firm are working on new downloadable content for both Xbox 360 and PS3.
