The Agency And Detonator Games News

Three former members of SOE who were working on The Agency have left to start up Detonator Games, art director Corey Dangel, studio director Matt Wilson and producer John Smith formed Detonator Games on July 4th, 2009.

What does this mean for The Agency which as suffered set backs already, will we still be seeing the game release in 2010? SOE have said that the company is "looking forward to showing you new content in the future."

A bit of info about the guys at Detonator Games

Detonator Games was formed on July 4th, 2009 by Matt Wilson, John Smith, and Corey Dangel. With backgrounds in MMO and console gaming, they wanted to bring the best of social entertainment to the emerging world of mobile and social networks. Each founder brings over 15 years of gaming experience including shipping multiple MMO, PC, and console games.

Matt Wilson - Founder and Creative Director
With over 15 years in the game business, Matt has been part of many aspects of gaming. He worked for 10 years at Microsoft and shipped multiple MMO’s, PC, and Console games. His last startup FireAntGames, was acquired to start the Sony Online Entertainment Seattle Studio. He brings a great deal of creativity, business knowledge, and a pyrotechnic attitude to the Studio.

Corey Dangel - Founder and Art Director
Corey brings a visual attitude to everything he touches. With over 15 years of experience including Microsoft’s Internet Gaming Zone, Microsoft’s Kids Group, CaveDog Games, and Sony Online Entertainment, he has been on the creative, visual, and design of games. He is the explosive visual style of our games.

John Smith - Founder and Technical Director
John has directed cutting edge technology for over 15 years. His experience flows from architecting both client and server frameworks for Microsoft’s Internet Gaming Zone, and large scale server infrastructure for Microsoft’s and Sony's MMO’s. He was also a co-founder of FireAntGames, and Senior Producer and Technical Director for Sony Online Entertainment.
